People vs Algorithms is a podcast and newsletter about media and cultural transformation.

PvA started as a newsletter by Troy Young, a long time media executive, advisor, investor and entrepreneur.

Troy is former global President of Hearst Magazines. He spent a seven years there transforming one of the largest publishers in the world into a modern omni-channel media creator. Previously he has led start ups, launched and run digital ad agencies.

Now PvA is fun podcast too. It features friends and collaborators Brian Morrissey and Alex Schleifer. Brian is a media expert and author of the fab Rebooting newsletter. Alex is a design polymath and CEO of Human Computer, an independent game studio. He used to work with Troy at Say Media and then led design at AirBnB.
